Big Hoss Bar-B-Q, Hoss Orwat's shrine to 'que in Berkeley Park, is taking up residence where the Oven, Mark Tarbell's pizza emporium at the Streets at SouthGlenn, shuttered in May. A call to Jennifer Jones, who manages the original house of smoke on Tennyson Street, produced little additional information -- in fact, she hung up on me after declaring that "Hoss doesn't like to talk to people" and probably wouldn't return my call -- but according to a sign in the window of the SouthGlenn address, 6955 South York Street, Big Hoss has a big date with the Centennial liquor administration on December 1, at 6 p.m.

wow, great customer relations. I guess that is a good place for rude people to seek employment!

How the fuck Hoss is still in business, let alone opening a second location, is beyond me. I routinely had some of the worst service I've ever experienced there. I live a few blocks from the place and have heard similar accounts from nearly everyone I know. We gave up on the place long ago.

What a classy way to run a business.
