Hard to believe it's November already, but the holidays are quickly approaching -- and so are some of our favorite traditions, like the Champagne Cascade at the Brown Palace Hotel. And there are plenty more events on this week's culinary calendar; here's what's on the menu:

Monday, November 7:

Frasca Food and Wine, 1738 Pearl Street in Boulder, hosts its Monday Night Wine Dinner. This week, sommelier Doug Krenik presents the wines of Nicolas Potal. Admission is $50 and up, and reservations are required; call 303-442-6966 or visit www.frascafoodandwine.com.

Tuesday, November 8:
