Guess where I'm eating?

I still love the dishes turned out from this Thai kitchen, but no longer do I believe that it's the city's top Thai restaurant.

Erawan Cafe?

I'll agree with the consensus that it's US Thai cafe.  I recently had lunch at Thai Monkey Club on S. Broadway and was very impressed.  While US Thai is good (in my previous life I lived in Sloans and got weekly takeout from US Thai), I often felt like the spice was too much--i.e. the dish's flavors were lost in the heat, even when I ordered medium.  At Thai Monkey Club, the green curry I ordered had enough spice to remind me it was Thai food, but no so much that I couldn't enjoy the rest of the flavors.

US Thai is not as good as it was a few years ago.  It seems like they are just throwing the dishes together without cooking it properly and skimping on veggies and other ingredients.
