Anthony Bourdain: "It depends on who's cookin' and who's f*ckin'" (VIDEO)

Food scribe, nomad, caustic tongue wagger and self-proclaimed "bad boy" Anthony Bourdain is never -- never -- at a loss for words, but back in August, when he was a guest on Real Time will Bill Maher, Bourdain dropped an extra special zinger when Maher asked him which he preferred: a great meal or mediocre sex

Bourdain's absolutely hilarious answer, the clip of which has now gone viral, may very well be the singularly best quote of the year.

See for yourself.

Wow, didn't I say that it aired in August? Good thing we can both count to four.

Wow, didn't this air *four months* ago?

Does it matter? Funny clip. Watch it, laugh, move along.

In light of the fact that this has been an incredibly tragic week for those of us in the restaurant community -- and the Denver community as a whole -- I guess I figured we could all benefit from a bit of humor, regardless of whether it was generated from a clip that was a day old, or one that was four months old. Apologies if it was too ancient for your liking.

You mean laugh at it again, four months after I previously laughed at it? I'm looking forward to Westword posting the recent Obama SNL skit four months from now, so I can laugh at it again!!

Do not interrupt the pettiness of the Cafe Society blog comments.  A gigantic whole (oh yes I did) will open in the earth and neighborhood lines will be so blurred that Denverites will be forced to eat in places like Ruby Hill and Regis.
