Club 404 announces last call

• I live in Nebraska now but am coming to Denver in July.  I will visit you then to remember the '4'.  I remember that wall with the dogs from my younger years, I am now 65.  So much of my memories are from the 404 and am grateful you are trying to keep the mood.  Thank you. (PS. with St Pats coming I know my mom will be there in heart as she made a point each year to go there and wish Jerry a Happy Birthday.)

• This is a landmark that only a fool would lose! We've done our best to keep the original feel to the place... You'll be surprised!

• As luck would have it, we haven't strayed too far from what the 404 was... Come by and check it out!

• This is one of my favorite places to bring people visiting Denver. Good luck to Jerry and his family. Sure would be nice if the developer rescued the CLUB 404 sign and put it on the new building. It was always fun to hear someone ask, "Where's Club 404?" and respond dryly, "404 Broadway."

• So sad another historic Denver bar will be lost, a victim of the economy. Wonder if it too will be turned into some trendy pizza bar by some rich yuppie kid.

• Oh my, what sad news this is to me and my family.  I always said I was raised in the 404.  My mom would patronize the club and often as a child I would sleep in the booths until closing.  Jerry was like a second father.  My mom & I would attend a near by church on Sunday and afterward head for the 4.  We held my daughters Wedding Rehearsal Dinner there and just a year ago held the after funeral dinner there for my mom, she would not have wanted it any other way.  Just this last St Pats Day we went there for the 80th BD & 60th Anniv. and had a photo taken with Jerry as we brought my 1 month old grand-daughter that made 5 generations to enjoy the Field family and the 404. You will always be remembered and missed Jerry. Sue Murphy
