Coffee appearances, Candy Cane Festival and more on this week's culinary calendar

There's plenty for java junkies this week, with events celebrating new coffee partnerships and expansions in our great state. But that's just start of the food fun, which also includes the annual Candy Cane Festival and much more. Here's a taste of what's on the menu:

Monday, December 5:

Elway's Downtown, 1881 Curtis Street, hosts the Paul Hobbs Winery Pairing Dinner, with four selections from the winery each paired with seasonal courses. It starts at 6:30 p.m. and costs $100 and up per guest; call 303-312-3107 or visit www.elways.com.

Satchel's on 6th, 1710 East Sixth Avenue, hosts a Wine & Chocolate Tasting with discussions and tastings of wine and chocolate. It runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and is free, but reservations are required; call 303-399-2560.

The Ginn Mill, 2041 Larimer Street, hosts the Repeal Day Celebration with Coors's Batch 19 from 8 p.m. to midnight. Call 303-295-0706 or visit www.theginnmill.com.

Frasca Food and Wine, 1738 Pearl Street in Boulder, presents the White Truffle and Barolo Dinner, with guest chef Michael Tusk and guest winemaker Luca Currado. It starts at 6 p.m. and costs $575; call 303-442-6966 or visit www.frascafoodandwine.com.
