Reader: Union Station plans need to include some plumbing work

People are excited to see something, anything go in to Union Station, which has long been filled with nothing but potential. Union Station Alliance, which won the nod from RTD to redevelop the historic building, has big plans for a retail/restaurant mix underneath the hotel that will go on the second and third floors -- maybe a diner, maybe a food hall like the one that was included in the competing proposal.

But the developers have a problem to solve first, says Daveed:

Whatever restaurant or other food-related entity they put in on the 16th St side, I sure as hell hope they dig up and replace the entire sewer system there. Redfish was a fun place to pound a few Abitas or Hurricanes after work, but there was always the faint odor of raw sewage in the air... Not exactly appetizing.

Did you visit any restaurants/bars that were once in Union Station? What would you like to see there? Post your suggestions below, or join the conversation already under way here.
