Beer dinners, Stout Month, Strings of Hope and Super Bowl festivities on this week's culinary calendar
It's all about beer this week -- although oenophiles will still find an event or two to their taste -- culminating in everyone's favorite football game, the Super Bowl. And there's plenty more to keep you occupied until Sunday, including a benefit and celebration of Noel Cunningham's life; here's a taste of what's on the menu:
Monday, January 30:
Frasca Food and Wine, 1738 Pearl Street, hosts its Monday Night Wine dinner; this week, Steve Doerner presents the wines of Cristom. Admission is $50 and up, and reservations are required; call 303-442-6966 or visit www.frascafoodandwine.com.
At 2 p.m., Wynkoop Brewing Co., 1634 18th Street, hosts a beer-education session for the brewing industry on marketing beer to women; Ginger Johnson will head up the talk. It's free to attend; please RSVP to marty@wynkoop.com.
