Denver Restaurant Week, cheese classes on this week's culinary calendar

Denver Restaurant Week began this past Saturday (prompting some words of wisdom from Matt Selby, chef of Vesta Dipping Grill and Steuben's) and continues through Friday, March 9. Participating restaurants are offering prix-fixe meals for $52.80 per couple or $26.40 per individual. Visit the website for menus and details.

Monday, February 27:

Frasca Food and Wine
, 1738 Pearl Street in Boulder, hosts its weekly Monday Night Wine Dinner. Admission is $50 and up, and reservations are required; call 303-442-6966 or visit their website.

Tuesday, February 28:

Great Divide Brewing, 2201 Arapahoe Street, hosts its monthly beer and cheese pairing tonight, which takes place every last Tuesday of the month. $24 per person includes tax & gratuity. RSVP required. Email info@greatdivide.com or call 303-296-9460 to check availability.

IHOP celebrates National Pancake Day by offering free flapjacks all day today. In return, they're asking for voluntary donations to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children. Participating locations include 7017 South Clinton Street in Greenwood Village, 1595 South Colorado Boulevard and 3730 Quebec Street in Denver. Visit their website for more details.
