Small Plates, Big Hearts and St. Patrick's Day on this week's calendar
Fado, 1735 19th Street, is hosting a charity event today as part of Paddython 2012, a week-long celebration of all things Irish. Bottomless Stella happy hour and music from That Eighties Band are just part of the festivities. Fado will donate 20 percent of all food sales to the St. Baldrick's Foundation to help fund childhood cancer research.

Freshcraft, 1530 Blake Street, is featuring a special menu item today and donating a portion of the sales to Water for People, a Denver-based nonprofit dedicated to helping people gain access to clean, safe water.
Troy Guard, exec chef and owner of TAG, 1441 Larimer Street, will offer an intimate cooking class tonight that includes cocktails and ends with a three-course meal with pairings. The cost is $75 per person. Call 303-996-9985 to reserve a spot.
