The Golden Triangle goes against LoHi in our Street 16 tourney

It's been an opinionated first round in this first week of the Cafe Society Street 16 neighborhood tournament ("Boulder's not a neighborhood!" "The more hipster neighborhood will win every time!") All part of the fun.

Now for the final match-up in the first round, the Golden Triangle goes up against Lower Highland. Vote for the neighborhood you think is better for eating below! And of course, leave a comment if you wish.

Here's why the Golden Triangle should get your vote:

The Golden Triangle has become Denver's preeminent cultural corner, with the Denver Art Museum, the Clyfford Still Museum and the new History Colorado -- but its eating options are starting to make history, too. From the truck traffic of Civic Center Eats to the town's biggest cluster of fast-casual spots at Sixth and Broadway to the fashionable Palettes and Mad Greens by the DAM to the cozy Pints Pub (with its record number of Scotches) to the hot new Charcoal to the chic bistro at Tony's Market, anyone looking for sustenance in this part of town is golden.

Here's why LoHi shines:

Just a few years ago, there was little reason to venture into Lower Highland unless you were after Mexican fare at Patzcuaro or a canoli from Lechuga's, Denver mainstays that reflect different eras. But soon after Lola took up residence on the corner of 16th and Boulder and the neighborhood adopted the LoHi nickname, the area exploded with eateries: Duo, Z Cuisine, Masterpiece Deli, the Wooden Spoon Bakery, Highland Tap & Burger, Root Down, Linger, the Ale House at Amato's and Williams & Graham among them. And there's no end in sight: Pastry pro Yasmin Lozada-Hissom will soon open a dessert spot on West 32nd Avenue, and Central Bistro and Bar will slide in next to the Ale House.

It's decision time:

Voting ends at 11:59 p.m., Sunday, March 18. Vote in more Street 16 match-ups.
