Sign of the times: Venue Bistro goes on a fishing sabbatical

If you tried to eat at Venue Bistro yesterday, which was my mission, a sign on the door called for other plans. From what I hear, the spring runoff is good for fishing, and the staff at Venue obviously thinks so, too, judging from the fact that the Highland restaurant was closed yesterday and again today due to a fishing sabbatical.

It reopens tomorrow at 11 a.m. for lunch, presumably with a fresh catch.

I'm guessing they are closed for good. Too bad it was great but the neighborhood never got behind it.

I read this blog because it's both entertaining and informative. And it seems that when a restaurant that's supposed to be open, isn't, that's informative news, especially if I was planning to eat at Venue. But you probably eat at McDonald's.

Wow we are seriously scrapping the bottom of the barrel when this is newsworthy.

This is a blog. Not everything has to be Woodward & Bernstein.
