Indulge Wine Bar now open in Golden

Indulge Wine Bar
Last week, when we crowned Denver's ten best patios, we included Indulge Wine Bar, a spot deep in the heart of Highlands Ranch that, in addition to a sizable by-the-glass and bottle list, boasts a sweeping outdoor deck, complete with fire pits and excellent Front Range views. And that spot just got a sibling: a second Indulge Wine Bar opened in Golden last week.

The new Indulge, located in the heart of downtown in the Gateway Station, is similar to its Highlands Ranch counterpart, but not identical. When she announced her plans to open the wine bar with her husband Peter, owner Delinda Fatianow told us that while the patio would have couches and a fireplace, the interior would be more rustic and more draft beers would be added to the drink lineup. Delinda also said she'd also continue to expand the Indulge Wine School, offering classes in her new location.

The couple opened its doors to a menu of flatbread pizzas, burgers, cheese and meat trays and desserts; a wine list that will please, in particular, drinkers who like new world juice and a draft and bottle beer list heavily steeped in Coors products as well as other local beers.

And thus far, it seems that the wine bar is exactly what the neighborhood was craving. "The reception's been really great," notes Mike Steger, general manager and part-owner. "People keep saying, 'We've needed this for years.'" That also means Indulge has been busy, and Steger says the staff has been working hard to keep the service at the level the restaurant wants.

And even though the rain put a bit of a damper on the weekend, the patio has also been popular. "We got crushed, Steger admits. "It's a beautiful day today, so we should have a big lunch crowd, too."

The new Indulge is open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

My husband and I went to Indulge for dinner.  Excellent meal selection, delicious meals, and fantastic service.  So happy to see an upscale restaurant on the west side of the metro area.  This has been needed for decades!

I don't make food I eat It. two times there in golden and to night will be the last, food is good but mangement needs to check them selves.  I was there with my girlfriend having a wonderful time.  We ate food and had drinks at the bar.  Before we knew it; the bar shut us off.  We each had 3 drinks and were enjoying our evening.  We then over heard them talking about us and how much we had to drink.  Honestly, for a new bar - which is a "bar" mainly we were quite surprised at this assumption. We love to find new places to eat and drink: in fact, we have referred multiple people here already. If you want to go out and spend $100 dollars and get pushed out.....go here.   Confusing for a wine bar....FYI....they never filled our water glasses once.

We have been to Indulge in Golden twice: once for appetizers and once for Sunday brunch. Both times, the food and service were great. Menu prices are reasonable, the crowd is fun and the patio is incredible. We are very excited to have a great restaurant in Golden.
