Because of the wildfires, many of the official firework displays around the state have been cancelled. But there are plenty of reasons to take pride in Colorado's exploding culinary scene this week.

The fourth annual Jul-IPA began yesterday at West End Tavern, 926 Pearl Street in Boulder. The restaurant is celebrating the almighty hop by pouring some of the country's finest India Pale Ales all month.
