The culinary calendar is full of tasty events this week, including plenty of excuses to enjoy the summer weather.

Monday, August 6:

The third Picnic on the Patio at Steuben's Food Service, 523 East 17th Avenue, will celebrate the unique cuisine of California with a "Steuben's touch" tonight at 6 p.m. The five-course meal will be paired with drinks and costs $60; reservations can only be made via e-mail.

Pub 17 -- the new beer-centric bar and restaurant in the Grand Hyatt Denver at 1750 Welton Street -- has introduced a prix fixe beer dinner in honor of the Hyatt's 25th anniversary. The three-course menu, which is available throughout the month of August, is paired with beers from Bristol, Avery, Lefthand, Great Divide, Steamworks, Boulder Beer and Odell's.
