Denver Urban Homesteading, 200 Santa Fe, is hosting a honey festival from 1 to 4 p.m. today. The celebration includes a meet-and-greet with local beekeepers, free tastings, live demonstrations and discussions on what's available in the market. Admission to the event is free; visit the urban venture's website for more information.
Cured, 1825 Pearl Street in Boulder, is ushering in the fall season today with a free grilled cheese and apple-whiskey tasting from 3 to 5 p.m. The sandwiches are house-made and the the fruit-blended spirits will be courtesy of Leopold Brothers. Call the shop at 720-389-8096 for more details.
Also going down in Boulder today is Upslope Brewing Company's inaugural scavenger hunt from 1 to 5 p.m. The challenge begins at the brewery (1501 Lee Hill) and all stops will be within walking distance from there -- cars and bikes are prohibited. Tickets (which cost $15) include free beer during the hunt, $1 off pints all day and an event t-shirt. Teams must be 4 to 6 people; register yours here.
