The Road to GABF at Euclid Hall: Avery Brewing Company

The Great American Beer Festival is still weeks away, but Euclid Hall, 1317 14th Street, has already kicked off its "Road to GABF" -- a series of intimate beer dinners.The second installment takes place tonight and will feature five beers from Avery Brewing Co. matched with creative fare from Euclid, our favorite place to pair beer with food in the Best of Denver 2012.

The five-course dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. and costs $30 per person (which includes beer), but there are only a few seats left, so call 303-595-4255 to grab one. In the meantime, here's the menu:

Smoked and roasted nuts, house-made cheezits, bagel chips, pretzel bits and stuff paired with Summer's Day IPA
Rye and cured salmon tea sandwiches with shallot, cucumber, crème fraîche and dill paired with Collaboration Not Litigation Belgian Strong Ale

Applewood smoked & braised pork belly, tangerine three ways, beurre blanc and basil paired with DuganA Double IPA

Tongue bath (cleanse): watermelon and lime soda

Pan-roasted striped bass, bone marrow, bordelaise, braised cipollini, potato and mustard paired with Reverend Belgian Quadrupel

Phyllo-wrapped carrot cake, fig ice cream and sherry caramel paired with The Beast Grand Cru

If you miss out on tonight's feast, be sure to reserve a spot at one (or all) of the remaining dinners: Prost Brewery, September 20; Deschutes Brewery, September 27 and Great Divide Brewing Co. on October 4. The GABF runs October 11 through October 14.
