Endless meats on a stick might be too much to hope for. But still, Fogo de Chão's new happy-hour menu offers a viable option for those who want to enjoy the traditional churrasco without overdosing on seared flesh.

With $8 dishes and $6 cocktails, this menu, which is only available at the bar, is also easier on the wallet than the restaurant's $24.50 lunch or $44.50 dinner.

"If you wanted to come, say, before a Rockies game or for just a happy hour with some friends, then you don't have to necessarily do our full menu in the dining room," explains Fogo general manager Shawn Giarmo. The happy-hour lineup includes three meat dishes: Brazilian pork sausage, fire-roasted chicken breast wrapped in bacon, and pork tenderloin covered in Parmesan cheese. Each comes with Brazilian cheese bread and polenta.

At happy hour, Fodo de Chao charges $6 for any of its eleven variations on Brazil's traditional drink, the caipirinha, which is basically lime, sugar and Cachaça. "We happen to be expert in making this cocktail," Giarmo says. "We do the traditional version, we're doing the tropical version, we're doing also what we call the caipiroska -- which is the same tradition as the caipirinha, but with vodka instead."

The happy hour runs from 5 to 7 p.m. weekdays and from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. And Fogo de Chao also offers complimentary valet parking after 5 p.m.
