Plenty on tap outside of #GABF on the calendar this week
The Great American Beer Fest will fill the Colorado Convention Center this Thursday through Saturday. Tickets to the seminal celebration of craft beer sold out in record time this year, and Cafe Society will be offering up comprehensive and "professional" coverage throughout the week -- as well as a couple of contests to get those coveted tickets.

Monday, October 8:
The taps at Falling Rock
The world-renowned Falling Rock Tap House is hosting its traditional GABF Kick-off party at 5 p.m. today. The dean of Denver beer bars will tap ten special kegs it's been saving; call 303-293-8338 for more information.
It's pint night at Lucky Pie, 1610 16th Street, featuring five limited- edition beers from Oskar Blues Brewery. Call the restaurant at 303-825-1021 to check availability, and to learn more about the rest of the week's beer events.
West End Tavern, 926 Pearl Street in Boulder, will present a four-course dinner paired with beers from four California breweries: Stone (16th Anniversary, 21st Amendment, UnReal Black Ale), Firestone Walker (DBA, Wookey Jack), Moylan's (Hop Craic, Barrel-Aged Kiltlifter) and Marin Brewing (San Quentin's Breakout Stout, Star Brew Triple Wheat Ale). The dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $45; call 303-444-3535 to reserve a seat.
