Culinary calendar: birthday parties and a fall celebration tomorrow

Lola turns ten tomorrow.

Happy Friday! There are three big parties tomorrow, including a birthday blowout at Lola that promises plenty of "good booze, good grub and live tunes."

Here's a taste of what else is happening this weekend:

Saturday, October 27:

Lola, 1575 Boulder Street, is celebrating ten years in business and six years in LoHi with brunch, a festive happy hour, live music and a carnival-inspired dinner today. The festivities run from 2 p.m. to close; visit the restaurant's website for a full schedule of events and for tonight's menu.

West End Tavern, 926 Pearl Street in Boulder, is commemorating its 25th anniversary by tapping two special Colorado beers -- a wee heavy from BRU and a barrel-aged porter from Odell's. The second location of Marczyk's Fine Foods, 5100 East Colfax Avenue, is hosting its first fall neighborhood fair today. The festivities include fall-inspired food for sale (including cider donuts), a canning demo and contest for pumpkin carving, jams and jellies and pies.
