Live music is on the menu at Hoot and Howl.
Hoot and Howl is now open in the former Twisted Olive space in Northfield Stapleton. The restaurant has made live music a major part of its menu, with open-mic nights and karaoke on a weekly basis, and it put on quite a show of local acts at its grand opening this past weekend.

While Hoot and Howl is focusing on such basics as burgers, a sibling restaurant, Sal's Street Food & Sushi, will soon open in the same space, with an emphasis on street food and "stuff it!" options.

Hoot and Howl also featurs some appetizing deals. From Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., the bar is serving up $1 pints, $2 domestic bottles, $3 wells and half-priced appetizers. Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to midnight, the same deals apply at the establishment's "Moonlight Hour." And for now, the place promises to be open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. -- which could come in handy in that neighborhood.
