"We already feel like family with our regulars," says Tomas Vojtek, who owns the coffee shop with his wife, Marianne Rutzer. "We wanted to do something small and local. and we couldn't be happier with the space."
And the couple, both immigrants -- he's from Prague and she's from Switzerland -- have even more to celebrate: Marianne just gave birth to their first child. And they are also close to completing the process for adopting two more children from Haiti, which explains the art on the walls of the shop; all of it came from a market in Port-au-Prince and was purchased while Marianne was there meeting the newest additions to the family.
