Beaujolais and Beyond, beer pairings and more on the calendar this week

The Rocky Mountain French American Chamber of Commerce will host the 14th annual Beaujolais and Beyond Food & Wine Festival at Infinity Park Event Center this Thursday, November 15. The fundraiser features more than twenty local restaurants, and participating chefs will take part in a culinary challenge to create French-inspired dishes paired with Beaujolais Nouveau wine. Among this year's judges? Cafe Society's Lori Midson.

Here's a taste of what's on the culinary calendar this month:

Monday, November 12:

Warm Cookies and Games will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Buntport Theater, 717 Lipan Street. This is the first in a series of discussions and films focusing on community issues in a unique way. Board games and snacks will be provided, but participants can bring their own games. Admission is free, and RSVPs are helpful but not required. Elway's Downtown, 1881 Curtis Street, is hosting a five-course dinner paired with Glenmorangie Scotch Whiskey tonight at 6:30 p.m.; the night includes a meet-and-greet with Gregor Mina of Glenmorangie. The price is $80; call 303-312-3107 to RSVP.
