Culinary calendar: beer month at Euclid Hall, wine month at Rioja
Euclid Hall, 1317 14th Street, is already well known for its craft beer selection, but the beer hall is beefing up its efforts this month with a weekly "Backwall Tap Takeover," featuring rare beers from around the country.

Today's takeover comes from California's Firestone Walker: The restaurant will be pouring a barrel-aged bitter ale, a limited-edition imperial stout and an anniversary ale from the brewery. Call 303-595-4255 for more information.
And just around the corner, at 1431 Larimer Street, Rioja will revive its "Sips and Snacks" deal this month. From 5 p.m. until close every Tuesday in January, the restaurant will pair four select wines with snacks from the kitchen for $15.
