Cauliflower couscous: the winning dish at Squeaky Bean.
Is Denver a chain-restaurant town? That's what Joel Klatt declared on talk-radio before the Super Bowl, and that's exactly the image that Mark Antonation hoped to dispel when he invited Klatt to dinner at Squeaky Bean.

Where they ate some amazing things, including cauliflower couscous.

While Klatt may have had his eyes opened to other dining opportunities, some people would prefer he stay clueless.

Says Fletcherneedsajob:

I would prefer that the unadventurous diners stay away from these local gems and continue to fill up their local Applebee's and let Guy Fieri drive 'em wild with cravings. Keeps my waits at the real spots a little more manageable.

Where would you send Joel Klott? Guy Fieri? Post your answers below.

We prefer dining in small dives. The food is frequently better and the wait is non-existent.

It's a double-edged sword. If you don't want your local eatery to get crowded, you run the risk of them not making enough money to stay open.

Fieri has gotten "old." And Fieri-bashing has gotten old.

So what did we learn on Thursday from this Klatt-trap? We learned the steakhouse scene in and around the hotel/business districts in LA, NOLA, NYC, CHI is far superior to that surrounding Joel’s suburban enclave, raw meat and echinoid nuts make him squeamish, and if you listen to The Fan, he can bring Mike Evans to full blown Meg Ryan ecstasy live on the radio. Good day….Glad it's Friday.

Isn't it about time to get past this Guy Fieri thing amd move on?  I'm thinking that the readers who keep ranting, pissing and carrying on about him secretly LIKE him.
