Denver Botanic Gardens will celebrate Denver Restaurant Week with cooking classes

Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York Street, is stirring things up for Denver Restaurant Week, offering two cooking seminars for members, complete with snacking. Today's class features a variety of small plates for social occasions.

From 6 to 8 p.m. attendees will be tutored on how to make the following:

Citrus-herbed olives
Goat cheese/apricot/pistachio truffles

Creamy butternut squash

Coconut and ginger bisque

Pomegranate and orange salad with orange blossom dressing

Date and goat cheese stuffed Peppadews wrapped in prosciutto with Port Gastrique

Next Thursday's class will focus on pantry essentials.

The deal is available to new and renewing members; $52.80 gets you an annual "individual plus" membership to the Gardens, which means you can always bring a friend, as well as entrance for two people into one of the classes. Call 720-865-3525 for more information.
