Friday, May 24:
Feast! gets under way today in Vail, and runs through Sunday, May 26. The culinary celebration features collaborative eats from local chefs (including Frank Bonanno, Troy Guard, Jeff Osaka and Elise Wiggins), wine pairings, crafted cocktails and craft beer. Diggity Denver is hosting the city's first Full Moon Street Carnival tonight, starting at 4 p.m. in the parking lot at Speer and Bannock. There will be food from twelve food trucks, including Eighty Ate, Kuechos, Hey PB&J, the Denver Cupcake Truck, Route 40, Yatai, Doner King, Tacos Puesta, Crock Spot, Coaches Scoop Frozen Desserts, One Love, Mikes2 Kitchen and Capt'N Crabby; Left Hand Brewing Company and Bonacquisti Wine Company will pour libations.
Saturday, May 25:
Mountain Toad Brewing, 900 Washington, will hold a grand opening in Golden today. The brewery and taproom features a large outdoor biergarten with seven picnic tables and room for food trucks, along with a lineup of traditionally-styled beers named for some of Golden's landmarks. Odyssey Beerwerks, 5535 West 56th Avenue in Arvada, is hosting a grand opening today at 2 p.m., with live music from Jimmie Hope, eats from Ablaze food truck and door prizes. There will be six new beers on tap, including Psycho Penguin Porter and Brick Lane ESB.
Sunday, May 26::
ViewHouse Eatery Bar & Rooftop, 2015 Market Street, is hosting a "Sunday Funday" with volleyball, a dunk tank, cornhole, tug-of-war, an obstacle course, cabanas and more. Teams and cabanas can be registered by e=mailing Mike@FiveHype.com.
Corner House, 2240 Clay Street, will present its "Off the Menu Educational Series" from 4 to 6 p.m. today. Chef Matty Selby has created a four-course seafood dinner paired with wine, and Seattle Fish's James Iacino will be on hand to answer questions. The dinner costs $60 and space is very limited; visit the website to purchase tickets and to view the menu.
Jonesy's EatBar, 400 East 20th Avenue, is hosting its annual Memorial Day BBQ this evening from 5 to 9 p.m. The party features tunes from Jonny Barber and the Rhythm Razors accompanied by Oskar Blues beer-can chicken and BBQ. Call 303-863-7473 for more details.
Sidewinder, 4485 Logan Street, is hosting a BBQ from 2 to 7 p.m. today, and the bar will give the first fifteen customers who bike to the event a free shot of tequila. There will be tunes from a local DJ, burgers, hot dogs and veggie options; call 303-295-1105 to learn more.
The third annual Big Eat, a pig-out celebrating the local dining scene, goes down from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Sustainability Park, 2500 Arapahoe Street. The event features food and drink from thirty Denver restaurants, breweries and wineries, as well as live music by Oakhurst. Tickets are $40 and include two drinks; purchase them here.
