Update: We have a winner of our Summer of Riesling tasting at Bones contest giveaway. Earlier this week, we asked Cafe Society readers to guess how many glasses of Riesling were served at Bones, Luca d'Italia and Mizuna during the month of April. Congrats to CBart, who guessed 420 glasses; the actual number is 426. CBart, we'll send you an e-mail with directions on how to claim your prize. In the meantime, you can still purchase tickets by calling Bones at 303-860-2929.

Original post: "Riesling is probably the most noble grape out there -- it ages longer than any other grape and it has great range and flexibility, says Kelly Wooldridge, wine director of Bonanno Concepts and the sommelier at Mizuna.

And to prove his point, Wooldridge is hosting a Summer of Riesling tasting on Saturday, June 1, at Bones, chef/restaurateur Frank Bonanno's Asian noodle temple in Capitol Hill. From noon to 3 p.m, Wooldridge will showcase -- and pour -- twenty different Rieslings, all of which will be coupled with bites from Bones's new menu.

The Summer of Riesling, explains Wooldridge, is a summer-long celebration that uncorks across the country. "In 2008, sommelier-extraordinaire, Riesling evangelist and bon vivant Paul Grieco, who owns Hearth and Terroir Wine Bar in New York, seized upon an idea -- an idea to promote the drinking of Riesling through a summer-long festival of all-things-Riesling at his East Village wine bar," says Wooldridge. "Over the course of the last four summers, the movement has grown, spreading slowly across the island of Manhattan, hop-scotching to the West Coast, and back again," he adds.

And on Saturday, one Cafe Society reader and a guest can get up close and personal with the aromatic wine that's Germany's greatest grape. "I want people to experience the breadth of styles out there, and the Summer of Riesling is the perfect way to give people that opportunity," says Wooldridge, noting that Saturday's Summer of Riesling party at Bones is "just the beginning of an entire summer dedicated to the grape." In fact, Mizuna and Bones will each have a different Riesling syllabus through August.

In order to win seats to Saturday's tasting, here's what we want to know: How many glasses of Riesling were served between Luca d'Italia, Mizuna and Bones during the month of April?

The commenter who comes the closest to the actual number without going over will win the prize. To enter, please submit your guess, a valid e-mail address (no e-mail address automatically disqualifies you from winning) and your name in the comments section below. We'll announce the winner on Friday by 6 p.m.. You can also purchase tickets for $50 each by calling Bones at 303-860-2929.

A silly question -- if we have an account with this commenting system, wouldn't our registered email address serve as valid, linked with our comment?

I'm cool with losing, if that protects my email from spam.
