Beer, burgers and bikes on the weekend culinary calendar
Renegade Brewing Company, 925 West Ninth Avenue, will close down the 900 block of West Ninth Avenue for a block party celebrating its two-year anniversary on June 29. The party runs from noon to 10 p.m. tomorrow and features live music from five local bands, including Cousin Jasper, The Stormcellars, The Black Postcards and CP Carrington. The brewery will also offer eight special beers for the event; and there will be food trucks on-site serving up grub. The two-day Epic Beer Festival begins today at the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street. The festival features more than 300 beers from 120 breweries, and tickets are $40; visit the website for more details.

Both locations of Marczyk Fine Foods (the original at 770 East 17th Avenue, and the second store at 5100 East Colfax Avenue) continue their Friday Burger Night gatherings from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Niman Ranch burgers with all the fixings are $7.99.
Historians Ale House opens today at 11 a.m. at 24 Broadway. A pre-opening party last night raised thousands of dollars for Children's Hospital.
