If you missed the pilot episode of Colorado Brews, which aired on Rocky Mountain PBS a few months ago, you can catch it again tomorrow, July 25, at 9:30 p.m. The half-hour program, which will begin a regular run this fall, features a different Colorado craft brewery each week. It's hosted by author and Denver Business Journal reporter Ed Sealover and produced by Charles Nuckolls. The pilot episode focused on Crabtree Brewing in Greeley.

Wednesday, July 24Epic Brewing, the Utah-based company that just began operating a major new brewery in Denver's RiNo neighborhood, has been rolling out its beers at bars and restaurants all over town this week. Today, Star Bar will feature three Epic beers on tap, while Backcountry Pizza in Boulder will tap five beers, and Lucky Pie Pizza will feature three.

Renegade and Wit's End have collaborated twice -- once at each brewery -- to make Judge Whoppner, an imperial brown ale brewed with malted milk and served with malted-milk powder on the glass. Now Renegade Publik House, owned by Renegade Brewing, will serve this homage to Whoppers at 6 p.m. Get there early, because it will go fast.

Boulder Beer Company will toast the return of an old favorite today, Cold Hop British Style Ale, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the tap house. The brewery made a single 300-barrel batch of this beer, which will only be served on draft at the brewery and at various accounts nationwide. Today's tapping party includes games, prizes and beer specials.

River North Brewery will pour Whiskey-aged Hello, Darkness Black IPA today as part of its Wayward Wednesday weekly series. There are less than five gallons of this house favorite available, though, so get there early. First pour at 3 p.m.

Copper Kettle is pouring cask-conditioned fruit beers every Wednesday this month, and today's firkin is peach saison. East Coast Joe's will be serving food around 4 p.m.

Thursday, July 25

Epic Brewing will continue its Denver rollout today at the Kitchen Next Door, which will tap two beers, and City, O' City, which will tap three.

Friday, July 26

Epic Brewing continues its Denver rollout today at Euclid Hall, which will have three beers on tap, while Colorado Plus will tap four beers from Epic.

Saturday, July 27

The Wynkoop Brewing Company will hold its third annual United Tastes of Belgium today from 1 to 4 p.m., featuring an insane list of sixty-plus Belgian-style beers made by thirty breweries (primarily in Colorado), along with samples of tasty chocolates and cheeses. You'll find everything from "new and experimental treats and year-round and seasonal treasures, to sour beers, lambics and other wonders from our favorite European brewing nation," the Wynkoop says. Tickets are $30 in advance and $37.50 at the door (if the event isn't sold out) and are available at TicketAlternative.com. The fest is a good way to try brews from some of Colorado's newest breweries as well, including Fate, 12 Degree, Black Bottle and BRU. See the list at the Wynkoop website.

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse in Loveland is celebrating its third anniversary today with food and music throughout the day, noon to 9 p.m. at the tap room. There will be special beer releases, along with firkins, food and family fun.

Sunday, July 28

Stone Brewing is taking over seven of the taps at Renegade Publik House today at 2 p.m. with some of its huge beers, including Ruination, Arrogant Bastard, Enjoy By 08.02, Sublimely Self Righteous and Cali Belgique IPA. The Publik House will also have bombers of Farking Wheaton W00tstout, a stout brewed with pecans, wheat and rye and partially aged in bourbon barrels. Get there early for a free pint glass.

"What is more American than beer or pie? Beer AND Pie!" That's the word from Denver Beer Co, which will host a beer-and pie-tasting party with Maple Street Pie Company, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Barrel Room next to the brewery. Tickets are $12 and include three mini-pies paired with three beer tasters. There may also be a pie-eating contest.

Tuesday, July 30

Great Divide will host a release party today from 5 to 7 p.m. for Titan Dills, a new collaboration with the Real Dill, a local pickle company. Developed alongside Great Divide head brewer Taylor Rees, these pickles are made with malts and hops from the Titan IPA recipe, "resulting in a spicy spear with big citrus flavors, crisp hop bitterness and the perfect balance of rich malt character," the brewery says. Attendees get free samples of Titan Dills and a chance to talk with both companies about beer and pickles.

Wednesday, July 31

Tickets for the Great American Beer Festival go on sale today to the general public at Ticketmaster.com. I hope your fingers are ready to hit the keyboard. They sold out last year in 45 seconds. Only the beer gods know what this year will look like. The festival takes place at the Colorado Convention Center October 10-12.

Thursday, August 1

Today is national #IPADay, and breweries around the country are celebrating by, well, doing what they do every day: brewing and serving IPAs. But Upslope Brewing's new Flatiron Crossing location in Boulder is taking things up a notch by putting nine India Pale Ales on tap. The party gets going at 4 p.m., the Heirloom Food Truck will be on hand at 5 p.m., and live music from The Longest Day of the Year will begin at 6 p.m. The IPAs on tap are Upslope India Pale Ale, Imperial IPA, Rye IPA, Thai IPA,Double dry-hopped Imperial IPA and four single-hopped Imperial IPAs using Cascade, Columbus, Summit and Galaxy hops respectively.
