Ten new Colorado craft beers to look for in July
New and seasonal beers from Colorado breweries are hitting shelves at a rapid pace right now -- so quickly, in fact, that it's difficult to keep up. Recent gems include Wynkoop Colorojo, Bull & Bush Man Beer, Avery Momi Hiwa and Copper Kettle Mexican Chocolate Stout. And the fun isn't going to stop in July. Here are ten new or seasonal beers you should be seeing soon.
- Great Divide adds Oatmeal Yeti to its lineup of highly-rated imperial stouts
- Ska Brewing's next two canned stouts will focus on mint, orange blossom honey
- Doomsday beer: Strange Brewing will release Dr. Strangelove in bottles on Friday
Hoptree Double IPA
Lone Tree Brewing
Lone Tree Brewing, which just began bottling its beers earlier this year in 22-ounce bombers, has released its third packaged brew, Hoptree, a double IPA made with eleven different hop additions that give it a grassy, tangerine aroma. This 8 percent ABV beer joins Acres O' Green and Outta Range Pale Ale on liquor-store shelves.
Estival Cream Stout
This is the fourth and final beer in Ska Brewing's series of four canned seasonal stouts, which began last fall. It is made with orange blossom honey and aged in oak with dried orange peels. The other three Ska stouts incorporated chile, mint and Malbec grape juice.
West Portal Colorado Common
Big Choice Brewing
This is the second canned offering from Big Choice Brewing in Broomfield. It is available primarily in liquor stores in the northwest Denver suburbs.
