The original Chipotle Mexican Grill, at 1644 East Evans.

Update: In honor of Chipotle Mexican Grill's twentieth anniversary, we asked Cafe Society commenters to recount their favorite Chipotle stories or memories for an opportunity to win a catered party for up to twenty people. Congrats to Scott62, jamiepark76 and dimka212. You're all winners! Check your e-mail for details on how to claim your prize.

For this week's cover story, "Foiled Again!," Lori Midson interviewed Chipotle founder Steve Ells about the twenty-year legacy of the locally based burrito chain. Over the weekend, Chipotle officially turned twenty -- and Chipotle wants a few of its fans to celebrate the anniversary in style. Chipotle introduced catering this year -- and now we're giving away three catered-party cards, which feed up to twenty people each. Let the feasting begin!

Thank you very much for including me among the other lucky winners! Definitely a sunny spot in my week :)

I've checked my inbox for the last several days but it doesn't look like I've received an e-mail with details on how to proceed forward. If I somehow missed it, would you kindly resend it to sfinfgeld@yahoo.com  ??  Merci!

Last Halloween I was dressed as Willy Wonka standing in line at Chipotle next to Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter, a slutty Alice in wonderland, and drunken Super Mario holding a plunger. This is where I always eat on Halloween. I like to get my food fast at Chipotle so I have more time to party!! sbtmsnow@yahoo.com

I went to college in Boston during the mid-2000s. While I was in school, I would fly back and forth between Boston and Denver during the holidays and breaks. I was hooked on Chipotle at an early age (having been lucky enough to go to a high school with a Chipotle across the street), so I was mortified when I couldn't find any Chipotles in Boston. As a result, I did what any rational person would to minimize Chipotle withdrawal: I would take a  burrito with me on every flight to Boston and, upon my return to Denver, I would insist that my parents pick me up at the airport with a burrito in hand. Taking a bite of that succulent burrito -- steak fajita, hot and mild salsa, the same order every time -- meant I was home. *That* is my favorite Chipotle memory.

I first ate ate Chipotle as a freshman at DU and fell in love with it right away and enjoyed it the entire time of my DU college experience. After school I lived in the east coast and was unable to have the delicious Burritos that I loved so much. Years later I decided to move to Wyoming. On my drive west, I stopped to visit my best friend in Chicago. As I was in my car driving, I passed a Chipotle! I hadn't seen one since I had lived in Denver and I couldn't believe it. I went right to my friends house, grabbed him and went right to Chipotle. He then knew why I was so excited. I then moved on and continued my trip out west to Wyoming and every time my friend came to visit he would bring me a Chipotle Burrito from Chicago. Now that there are more Chipotle's around, we always stop and enjoy a Burrito whenever we see one together.

Thanks Chipotle!

Last year we stopped off for a bite to eat before going to the movies. Had about 2 hrs to kill so we sat around eating good food and drinking cervezas, a few too many. Came time to go and nobody could drive, lol. So we just walked around the neighborhood before heading home after 2 more hours to clear our heads.

About three years ago I went to Chipotle in Boulder and slipped on the wet floor from a spilled drink.  I hurt my leg so my co-workers tried to convince me to sue chipotle or try to get a settlement.  I refused.  My undying love for Chipotle and my gratitude for their food and great work would never allow me to do such a thing.  I am having a birthday party in mid August and it would be great to have my party catered by my favorite restaurant!

My favorite memory of Chipotle was my first visit there.  We went to the Parade of Lights as kids and one year my dad took my brother and I to the Alameda location.  I must have been like 10 or 11.  My dad had my brother and I split one burrito and we thought it was the biggest thing we have ever eaten!  Now, I can finish one on my own, no problem. james.baetke@gmail.com

I would love to do a cater lunch to thank the staff at Smiley Library for their service to the community.  I attend the FREE weekly Book Babies where children learn and play along to songs, books, dancing, bubbles, and toys.  When I had my son this January, I realized just how important community is.  Through this free event, I have met wonderful parents and their children and felt like I was part of a warm, caring community again.  I would also invite all the moms/dads/grandparents who bring their little ones to the Book Babies because it would be great to "break burrito" with members or our community, especially with food we all enjoy!

I've been a huge fan of Chipotle ever since biting in to my first burrito in 1998 but continue to be a huge fan because of your community involvement and your commitment to quality ingredients!  And this contest just goes to show that even more!

Thank you!

My favorite Chipotle memory:  7 years ago, we had a rental property located 1 minute away from the original East Evans store. Well, long story short, our mortgage company went under during that time period and despite doing everything we could to hang onto the rental property, we had to let it go. I remember feeling absolutely wrecked as my wife and I cleaned up the inside and shut the door for the last time. I'm not kidding when I say that we drowned our sorrows in Chipotle tacos, and at least for a short while, it seemed like somehow we'd make it through. It's the guac that did it.

My nephew has terminal cancer and is just trying to hang on for his bar mitzvah next month.  He would like nothing more than for all his friends and family to enjoy catering from Chipotle at his funeral.

Seriously, though, I just want to stuff burritos into my coworkers' faces like everybody else.  Pick me!

I just packed up my life in NYC 1 week ago and drove across the country to start again in Denver. What better way to meet people and make new friends than a Chipotle party. Help me be popular!
