Patxi's Pizza got its start in California, but it's already deeply rooted in the Denver community. And today, Monday, September 23, both local Patxi's locations -- at 185 Steele Street and 3455 South University -- will donate 10 percent of all sales to flood victims through the Intermountain Salvation Army Disaster Relief Fund.

Le Grand Bistro & Oyster Bar is celebrating oyster season by offering oysters on the half-shell for just 99 cents each today through Sunday, September 29. There will be other oyster specials through the week, along with chef demonstrations For more information, call 720-381-7202.

Ben Parsons is one of Colorado's most renowned winemakers, and at tonight's local wine maker dinner at Arugula, chefs Alec Schuler and Sven Hedenas will pair their courses with wines from Parsons's winery, The Infinite Monkey Theorem. Love whiskey? Sample six of the 140 American whiskeys Central Bistro & Bar has to offer at An Evening of Whiskey . Robert Sickler, a Master of Whiskey at Crown Royal, will lead the booze tasting through two iconic whiskey producers; the tasting will also include four dishes to accompany the liquid gold. Mention the ad on the website and get a shot of whiskey on the house! The event starts at 6:45 p.m. and space is limited, call 303-477-4582 for reservations, $35.

The Colorado Chef's Association is teaming up with the Colorado Beef Council and Colorado Proud on Dining in Denim -- and yes, you get to rock your favorite jeans to this event at Spruce Mountain Guest Ranch in Larkspur. Ten top chefs from the Denver area will cook up a menu of dishes featuring locally produced ingredients. The party runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and tickets are $100.

Friday, September 27

DJ Pano will celebrate the second anniversary of Axios at Greek Night, which runs from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The $5 cover charge gets you a glass of house wine, a Greek import beer a well drink or a shot of ouzo. Through Saturday, September 28, Axios will be featuring daily specials, including a four-course lamb dinner for $25 and a four-course vegetarian moussaka dinner for $22.
