When it comes to beer, men seem to be king. However, groups of women around the United States are beginning to steal the crown. These "princesses of pilsner," as they refer to themselves, are showing the world that girls love beer just as much as boys --- and can appreciate it,too.

Girl's Pint Out is a national advocacy for ale by females organization that got its start in Indianapolis in early 2010, spread to Arizona and Texas, and today has chapters around the country. These "angels of ale" give other women the opportunity to socialize while learning more about craft beer -- and guys can come, too.

Tonight Girl's Pint Out party will be be held at Local 46 from 5 to 8 p.m., and will feature the specialty brew Sin & Tonic -- based on the classic gin & tonic. Jenn Litz, the co-founder of Girl's Pint Out, brewed this special beer with New Belgium Brewing using Sorachi Ace hops, juniper and a citrus spice-blend. And it's only available at Local 46 tonight.

Pints are only $3, and Caveman Cafeteria will be on hand for snacks. Come early and you might get a free T-shirt, too.
