Lowry Beer Garden food drive, pizza for good causes and Beaujolais Nouveau on the calendar

The Lowry Beer Garden is hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive to support the Denver Children's Home through Monday, November 25. Donate five non-perishable food items at the restaurant and as a thank you, you'll get 15 percent off your total check. In addition to helping the Denver Children's Home, the Lowry Beer Garden will also supplying Thanksgiving dinner to 25 families in the community. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18
Gather, a quarterly pop-up dinner in the Denver Botanic Gardens Orangery, returns at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Dana Rodriguez, former executive chef of Bistro Vendome, and chef/co-owner of the upcoming Work & Class, with be cooking the four-course meal, which will be served at a family-style table. Tickets are $75 per person (you can bring your own alcohol) but online registration is closed; to see if you can still squeeze in, call Jennifer Riley-Chetwynd at 720-865-3581.

Justin Brunson, chef/owner of Old Major, welcomes hunter/cookbook author Hank Shaw to his restaurant tonight for a four-course dinner featuring duck and geese. The menu is available from 5 to 10 p.m.; a $100 ticket includes wine pairings for each course and a copy of Shaw's new cookbook, Duck, Duck, Goose: Recipes and Techniques for Cooking Ducks and Geese, Both Wild and Domesticated. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19
Beast + Bottle and Table 6 are teaming up for another Here & There progressive wine dinner, which will allow guests to dine at both restaurants on the same night, with car service between the two. The wines of Penner-Ash Cellars will be paired with each dish in the four-course meal; two courses will be served at Beast+Bottle, and the other two courses at Table 6. Tickets are $85 (plus tax and tip); make reservations by calling Table 6 at 303-831-8800 or Beast + Bottle at 303-623-3223. Space is very limited.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20
To raise funds for the flood victims in the Longmont community and the St. Vrain Valley, all 25 Anthony's Pizza & Pasta locations will donate 25 percent of their sales today to flood relief. Find a location near you here.

More pizza for a cause: With "Feasting for Felines" today, all five Beau Jo's Pizza locations will donate 20 percent of pre-tax sales to the Cat Care Society in Lakewood. Find more information at catcaresociety.org.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21
Beaujolais & Beyond comes to the McNichols Building in Civic Center part tonight from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. This fundraiser for the Rocky Mountain French-American Chamber of Commerce features more than twenty Colorado chefs cooking up French-inspired dishes to pair with Beaujolais Nouveau; there will also be forty varieties of the wine to sample. Tonight marks the last evening of live jazz at Arugula's Amaro Drinkery Italia . From 8 to 11 p.m., the popular Boulder spot will feature blues masters Lionel Young and Dexter Payne. Cover to listen to the music is $7, or free with $35-plus dinner purchase.
