Readers: Forget Steak 'n Shake. Where's In-N-Out? Where's White Castle?
Two years ago, Denver's first Steak 'n Shake in decades opened in Centennial to big crowds and the kind of frenzy we wouldn't see again until, well, Dunkin' Donuts opened here in August. By then, though, the two metro Steak 'n Steak stores were embroiled in legal wrangles that ultimately saw their franchises yanked by the parent company, which just reopened the stores Monday under its own control. But is Denver over Steak 'n Shake?
