Arch Pizza opens its second Mile High location tomorrow in Lone Tree

In late October, Marc Dak, along with his wife Stacy, a St. Louis native, opened Arch Pizza in Park Hill, a joint that's modeled after Imo's, a celebrated, family-owned, St. Louis-based pizza chain that dispenses cracker-thin crusted pies, cut in squares and paved with Provel cheese, a blend of processed Swiss, provolone and white cheddar. When I first interviewed Dak, he revealed that a second Arch Pizza location was in the works, and tomorrow, the couple will unveil that store, a new build out in Lone Tree, located at 8854 East Maximus Drive.

"We are so thrilled with the reception that we've received in Denver, and we're looking forward to the opening of our second store in Lone Tree," says Dak, adding that sales for the original store have far surpassed their wildest dreams, to the tune of 150 percent above expectations. "Our family, and the entire Arch Pizza team, would like to thank Denver for the warm reception, and we hope to see everybody tomorrow for the grand opening in Lone Tree," he adds.

The Lone Tree store will be approximately the same size as the Park Hill location, and two additional Arch Pizza outposts, one on Broadway and another on Hampden, are in the planning stages, too. And, says marketing director Ryan Park, the word is spreading fast. "Multiple Facebook pages are growing fast at nearly 4,000 likes, and in the first seven weeks of Facebook adverts, Arch Pizza reached over 480,000 people via posts, ads and updates."

Hours for the Lone Tree location are Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. For more info, call 303-792-2670.

St Louis? Well hell...if it's not Chicago or New York based, why bother?

There isn't anything pretty about St. Louis pizza regardless of what angle it is viewed from.

If that is the best picture they could come up with of their pizza, I'm probably going to pass...

I foresee boston market syndrome happening. Opening too many too soon before you get the loyal fan base.
