Photos: Sushi Harbor opening in to Trader Joe's

If you're going to open a restaurant, there's likely no better place to do it than just steps away from a Trader Joe's, which, as we all know, is unleashing four stores in Colorado next year, including one at Eighth Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, currently slated to open on Valentine's Day. Sushi Harbor, a Japanese restaurant located at 4136 East Eighth Avenue, next door to Trader Joe's, give or take a storefront, will open long before that if the flurry of construction going on inside is any indication. In fact, when I stopped in last week, a construction crew member seemed confident that it would open by the end of the year. Here's an early peek at the space.

First off, sb are "the owners". What I want to know is where are people going to park. The traffic around that area is already a nightmare! Tear down CU med center, which is abandoned a build a parking garage!

eh, trader joes is great for relatively healthy freezer food, i love the frozen turkey meatballs, and moderately priced wine. tell me more about sushi harbor. who is the chef, owner, etc..... its really close to me and we need a sushi joint bad. btw, dont we call our neighborhood "hale" i look forward to the business that trader joes is gonna bring. snooze and anthonys will surely prosper, both seem to be doing fine. "the inn" and "all v's" (best sandwiches in the city) will hopefully see some biz as well. tell me more about sushi harbor please. thx

I live right behind that on Ash. Spicy Thai Asian grill is the owners of this place. Can't wait for both of these places to open.

I lived in southern California where there were trader Joe's on every corner. Imagine my horror when I moved here and there were none!! Denver is gonna need many more locations! How about one on the west side some Arvada...Denver west..Colorado mills areas.

@boulderrider Hi,

Sushi Harbor is owned by the gentleman who also owns the Colorado/Evans branch of Spicy Thai (and is vaguely affiliated with the one on Oneida).
