Guess where I'm eating a sea urchin and ginger-scallion pancake?

Last week, Patty Calhoun admitted to waiting a whopping ninety minutes for brunch at Highland Tavern, which is just fifteen minutes shy of how long I waited in line for what amounted to twenty different dishes (!!!!!!!) at a San Francisco restaurant that, in my opinion, is quite possibly the best restaurant in that city. And among the dizzying number of plates that we tried was a sea urchin and ginger-scallion pancake that was so mind-blowing that I still can't stop thinking about it. Would I wait in line again to repeat the experience? Absolutely. Truth be told, I'd camp out in the doorway for hours just to eat here again, and I imagine the staff, who couldn't be more genuine, would feed me scraps if I scratched at the door.

Can you guess where I'm eating?

It's State Bird for sure - did my due-diligence and checked out their menu.  Sounds like an interesting place with a reservation policy like the French Laundry so good luck getting to try it.  Great location in the Western Addition though so you've got a lot of great culinary choices if you can't get in here.
