Last year, at the inaugural DSTILL, an event that celebrates American craft spirits and cocktails, revelers -- and there were hundreds of them -- quickly compared it to the Great American Beer Festival, high praise for a first year event. And now DSTILL, a joint partnership involving the Colorado Distillers Guild, Something Independent, the Colorado Bartenders Guild and the American Craft Distillers Association, is back for round two of its week-long homage to spirit tastings, craft cocktail events and workshops spotlighting the country's top small-batch distillers from across the country.

The festivities kick off on Monday, March 10 with a three-day series of seminars focusing on the craft of distilling, and on Thursday, March 13, from 7 to 10 p.m., the signature Showcase, which trumpets fifty American craft spirit producers from across the country (Death's Door Spirits, Wyoming Whiskey, Few Spirits, Peach Street Distillers and Montanya Distillers, among them), uncorks at McNichols Civic Center Building, where imbibers can sip spirits and sample handcrafted cocktails created by the cocktail wizards in the Colorado Bartenders Guild.

"With the pairing of DSTILL and the ACDA Craft Spirits Convention, we have established an incredible platform for both consumers and trade to experience the outstanding work being done by American craft spirit producers," says Rob Masters, president of the Colorado Distillers Guild and head distiller at Spring 44, a local spirits company based in Loveland.
