Reader: baRed could be making bank on city employees and courthouse patrons
Chefs are shifting all over town, and now baRed and CY Steak, which share a kitchen (and father-and-son owner/managers Cliff and Zach Young), are looking for a new chef de cuisine, after the departure of Doug Mace. But a new chef isn't the only change baRed should make, according to one reader.
Time for lunch? baRed is ready.

It's actually a really ripe location for lunch. I just don't understand the branding they went with. There is nowhere to eat lunch around the courthouse (Supreme Bean is charming but limited, and vom at Subway and Quizno's), and as I understand, they do serve a fast and reasonably priced lunch, but there's really no outside indication that the place is anything but an upscale steak & wine bar. They could be making bank on city employees and courthouse patrons during lunchtime, but it just doesn't register on anyone's radar with the upscale-looking "baRed" sign.Is baRed missing a bet by not emphasizing its mid-day service? Where do you eat lunch when you have business with the city/courts?
