Dunkin' Donuts opening today in Aurora with free iced coffee

Doughnut joints keep rolling into the metro area, and Dunkin' Donuts fans get a twofer this month. On March 4, a sixth new Dunkin' Donuts opened at 3235 28th Street in Boulder. And today, a brand-spankin' new Dunkin' Donuts store will debut at 16601 Smoky Hill Road, conveniently close to the high school. Any guest who visits this location in the first week will receive a free medium iced coffee.

Unlike the other Dunkin' Donuts that have recently opened, this is the first outpost operated by the Redman Group. The franchise owner is a father/daughter partnership between Colorado native Doug and Katy Redman, who have experience running restaurants in Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota. They plans to open several other Dunkin Donuts locations in south Denver, including Castle Rock and Parker.

"We couldn't think of a better location than Aurora for our first Dunkin' Donuts location in the Denver metro area," says Doug Redman. "As a Coloradan, I know what a great and growing community Aurora is, and we look forward to introducing all the great food and beverages that Dunkin' Donuts has to offer."

Both the restaurant lobby and drive-thru will be open seven days a week, from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The first two new Dunkin' Donuts locations opened on Broadway and at DIA last September. Since then, DIA has gotten a second spot; other stores opened in Edgewater and Thornton.

It was hard to read past the first sentence after you identified Boulder as part of the Metro area. IT IS NOT!  Boulder is its own haven of douche-baggery. With that said, I love DD and have since childhood in New England. It was our Sunday treat after church.

The funny thing about that, is why did they take it away in the first place. in the late 80's early 90's we had Dunkin' in the metro area and then they all disappear LOL except for the ones in Colorado Springs

Oh good! It looked like it was just about ready last time I was over that way.

@redsoxfan @TheFabulousMarkT The reason I mentioned the building is because the map marker is actually west of where DD is :)
