Art, brunch, wine and a Taste of Pearl on the culinary calendar this weekend
Get out an enjoy Denver's abundance of decks and patios today and tomorrow -- snow is coming Sunday. Fortunately, there are plenty of activities to warm the heart and soul -- and fill the stomach -- through the weekend, including the fourteenth annual edition of DAM Uncorked and Taste of Pearl. Friday, April 11
The first of two events during the Uncorked weekend at the Denver Art Museum gets popping tonight from 6 to 9 p.m., when guests can enjoy hors d'oeuvres from Kevin Taylor Catering while sampling over 300 wines at a wine-tasting. On Saturday night, guests can attend the Uncorked Dinner and Auction. Both evenings will feature silent auctions where guests can bid on art, wine, tours, travel packages and more. Tickets for Friday night's wine tasting are $100 for museum members, $135 for non-members and $55 for designated drivers at the door. For those looking to beat the crowds, early-access tasting tickets are available for an additional $35, and will get you in at 5 p.m. Ticket prices also include museum admission during regular business hours. Brunch is the hottest meal of the day right now, but the waits at many brunch spots in town can turn a morning outing into an early dinner. The good news is that with the right skills you can skip the lines and transform your breakfast nook at home into the most exclusive brunch spot in town. Stir Cooking School has the perfect class for would-be brunch cooks. During the Easter Brunch class, participants will be guided through making a variety of brunch dishes by Stir's professional chefs. On the lesson list: baked eggs with bacon and a tomato Parmesan sauce; apple, sage and fennel breakfast sausage (made with ground pork); chicken and waffles; banana and fromage blanc grilled cheese; coffee-streusel bundt cake and, of course, the brunch mainstay: Mimosas.
Let Em Have It Salon is hosting an evening of art and music to benefit the Food Bank of the Rockies tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be artwork, live painting, belly and break dancing, and lots of live music. Tickets are $10 find out more here.

Bonanno Concepts Wine Director Kelly Wooldridge will be leading an afternoon of rose drinking on the patio of Mizuna. A wide array of rosé from around the world will be featured in a casual, walk-around setting, accompanied by light bites from Mizuna executive chef Stephen McCary. The pink drink will be flowing from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission to the event is $45 and is limited, so call 303-832-4778 to save your spot.
Taste of Pearl is back for a fifth round in Boulder, pairing food from fifteen of the town's best restaurants with wine from fifteen Colorado wineries at boutiques and galleries in downtown Boulder.
