Will Lakewood's Jeb Brovsky score as PETA's Sexiest Vegan Next Door?
The race to find PETA's Sexiest Vegan Next Door 2014 is down to the wire, and Jeb Brovsky, a 25-year-old Lakewood resident -- when he's not playing soccer for the Montréal Impact of Major League Soccer -- is one of ten male finalists. "Being vegan has helped me greatly on and off the field," says Brovsky, who credits his diet with ending severe asthma and food allergies. "I have found that my recovery times between training sessions have decreased and my energy has increased."
Is Jeb Brovsky the sexiest vegan in America?

But Brovsky has more going for him than a good diet and good looks. He holds two degrees from the University of Notre Dame -- in business management and international peace studies -- and when he's not pushing the ball down the field, he's pushing good works.
Brovsky created a non-profit called Peace Pandemic, which works to end violence against women and children through soccer. He and his wife protest the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus every time it comes to town because of the way it treats animals, and Brovsky says he strongly supports adopting animals from shelters -- he was adopted himself.
PETA seems to have a thing for Colorado athletes; Nugget Ty Lawson started in a campaign this winter.
Want to help Brovsky score his own win? Go to the PETA contest site and vote before 10 a.m. MST on Friday, May 2. The two winners -- one male and one female -- will each receive a free vacation for two to Maui, courtesy of HumaneTrip.com.
