The ten best culinary events for April
Spring is officially here, and important culinary events are popping up across Colorado -- from the annual Taste of Vail to the twentieth anniversary edition of Dining Out For Life, which benefits Project Angel Heart. 10) Taste of Vail
Often ranked among the country's best food and wine festivals, the annual Taste of Vail gets under way tomorrow and runs through Saturday, April 5. This year's event will host more than thirty chefs and almost 130 wineries; there will be seminars, picnics, dinners, wine tastings, auctions and much much more. 9) An Evening With Adrian Miller

Slow Food Denver is hosting an evening at Cora Faye's with soul food scholar and author Adrian Miller, a finalist for the James Beard Foundation Award for his book Soul Food: The Surprising Story of an American Cuisine, One Plate at a Time. 8) Chefs Up Front
Sunday, April 6
More than thirty of Denver's best chefs will be cooking up multi-course meals tableside at this year's Colorado Chefs Up Front benefit at the Colorado Convention Center. The beneficiary of the evening is Cooking Matters, which empowers low-income families by giving them the skills, knowledge and confidence to prepare healthy and affordable meals. The night kicks off with a reception featuring some of the metro area's best bartenders shaking up signature cocktails, followed by dinner and a live auction. 7) DAM Uncorked
DAM Uncorked is one of the Denver Art Museum's largest fundraisers of the year. This year guests can enjoy hors d'oeuvres from Kevin Taylor Catering while sampling over 300 wines during the Wine Tasting on April 11; there's an Uncorked Dinner on April 12. Both evenings will feature a silent auction where guests can bid on art, wine, tours, travel packages and more. 6) Taste of Pearl
Sunday, April 13
Taste of Pearl is back for a fifth round in Boulder, pairing food from fifteen of the town's best restaurants with wine from fifteen Colorado wineries at boutiques and galleries in downtown Boulder.
