Guess where I'm eating steak and a cluster of crab?

Lori Midson

Years ago, when my parents split (where was conscious uncoupling in the 80s?) and I spent the obligatory weekends with my dad, we'd usually go out to for a steak-and-crab dinner, which wasn't always a particularly pleasant experience. But last week, as part of a birthday celebration, I ended up at this restaurant, which happened to be featuring steak-and-crab specials, and this time, it couldn't have been more pleasant.

Can you guess where I'm eating?

Special bonus: Anyone who gives the first correct answer to a Guess Where post -- on the Cafe Society blog, not on Facebook -- is entered into the contest pool, and every Monday, we select one lucky winner who'll receive a 2014 EatDenver dining deck, worth up to $520 in discounts at independent restaurants.

Even Red Lobster presents better than that.

The garnishes look so old school that I'm going to guess Poppies.
