Reader: Sausage and beer will be a great counter to Highland's hipster taco bars

Prost Brewing has room for all -- including hipsters.
Highland already has Prost Brewing, on the very edge of LoHi. And this month, it's also scheduled to get Prost Fine Beer and Sausage, an outpost of a Frisco-based restaurant that has no connection to Denver's Prost...except a mile or so of pavement. The two Prosts have agreed to avoid the litigious name game -- but can the new Prost avoid the hipster haters?

Says Barbara:

Ohhh gawwwwd! More hipster douchebags in my neighborhood!

Replies missinlink:

Really? Sausage and beer would be a great counter to all of the hipster taco bars in highlands square, get real.
If Highland can handle sausage and more beer -- not to mention two Prosts that seem determined to get along -- what else could this neighborhood handle? What would you like to see in the area?

How about a more accurate odometer? I got it at over 1.75 miles. "Or so."

I'm actually really surprised (for some reason) that an Ethiopian restaurant hasn't popped up over there.

While we're talking about the nice part of the Highlands, not the cheap fabricated condo and hipster part called Lohi, does anyone have an update on when Salt and Grinder and Solitaire will be opening?

The kind that actually use the "word" LuLz with two capital L's.

Can we please quit calling the Highlands 'hipster'?

That place is where hipsters with no taste go to die. Shitty atmosphere, shitty wait staff, shitty beers.

Guess I'll have to continue waiting for the creation of the world's first hipster-proof cuisine.

Some good Indian food would be lovely.

@babadhalgarag  Try just about every restaurant on Federal Boulevard. Lots of great food; no crowds or pretension. You could even walk to some of them from the Lower Highland neighborhood, or you could do something totally un-hipsterish and hop on the #30.

@mini-d Yes. That would be an awesome addition to the neighborhood.
