Chocolate lovers rejoice: The Colorado Chocolate Festival runs from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Denver Mart. Some of the best chocolatiers and chocolate vendors from several states will be represented. Tickets for the event are $5 and tasting tickets are 12 for $10 or 25 for $20. Blondes or brunettes: That's a timeless question, and you can put in your two cents -- okay, more like $20 -- tonight at Epernay Lounge. The Young Professionals Alzheimer's Association of Colorado are hosting this follicle fight where guests can donate the cost of their $20 tickets to the team of their choice and help out the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado. There will be red carpet photo opps, a silent auction, giveaways and, of course, plenty of bubbly. For more information, visit ypaac.org.
Slue Foot Sue's Shindig kicks off at the McNichols Building tonight. Imbibe Denver, in conjunction with the City of Denver, will be throwing this hootenanny to showcase The New West: Contemporary Perspectives of the Rocky Mountain Region, an exhibit on display inside McNichols, but the event will also be a mini-beer fest and Western-wear showcase. Participating breweries include City Star, Backcountry, Great Divide, Station 26 and Jagged Mountain. There will also be barbecue from Moe's, live country music from Casey James Prestwood and the Burning Angels, and the opportunity to buy shirts, accessories and posters from Rockmount Ranch Wear. The party runs from 6 to 10 p.m. at the McNichols Building, 144 West Colfax Avenue; tickets, $10, include three tokens each good for a twelve-ounce beer.
