It's called the Taste of Colorado, but we know it's really about the taste of turkey legs. After all, the annual festival at Civic Center Park generally goes through over 40,000 pounds of the fire-roasted turkey trotters. Despite a smattering of Denver-area restaurants turning out mini-portions of standard menu items, it's the festival food -- the chocolate-dipped fruit on a stick and the corn on the cob -- that are filling festival-goers' bellies, as our photographer illustrates with a few food photos.

Desserts, especially the oft-maligned cupcake, also seemed like popular options this year. See the complete slideshow for more photos of the people and fair food at the 2014 Taste of Colorado.
