A scene from the new ad campaign.
New Belgium Brewing is running its first TV ad campaign in eight years, buying airtime in twelve markets across the country in order to help beer drinkers associate the name Fat Tire with the brewery itself, which wants to push the rest of its lineup.

But the commercial, a thirty-second spot created by Denver's Cultivator Advertising, won't be seen in Colorado -- where New Belgium is based.

The taps at Falling Rock, 1919 Blake Street, are always up-to-date, especially during the Great American Beer Festival. In fact, Denver's most famous craft-beer bar can be a welcome alternative to the massive fest. There will be daily tappings throughout the weekend there, and today's begins at noon with the annual Sierra Nevada Kill-A-Keg, in which the bar's patrons attempt to "kill" a keg of the brewery's Harvest Ale as quickly as possible.
